anyone contemplating Morethan car insurance be aware of my experience. An incident requiring repairs from the 14/08/2007 has been undertaken with Morethan repairers, and after 8 days has come to me with the original damage still intact. I am informed that my car will be waiting a further anticipated 2 weeks waiting for parts, but this is not guarranteed either. So, if the job had been done correctly in the first place, I would have had this matter cleared by now.---Morethan?---Morethan not likelyagain. Remedy..never take your car for repair to any insurance recommended repairer, especially Morethan(Royal&Sun Alliance).

Last I heard, More Than were an insurance company and not a car repair company.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

It's not clear if anyone is at fault here as far as I can tell. Sometimes parts are simply not readily available - in which case it is hardly fair to blame the insurer or the repairer for the delays!0

I agree. More than are hopeless for following reasons experienced last year.
1. Call centres in Asia. Staff speak but do not understand English. I would explain things several times, then get them to repeat it. Then I would question their comprehension of what we had said. They could not. The result were many hours of phonecalls and complete frustration.
2. They had my car repaired? by one of their Specialist repairers.
Consequence
a)Convertible roof repair sub contracted and destroyed roof and scratched car body. Incorrect and reused parts used. Hood assembled incorrectly fitted and waterproof seals cut and destroyed. Interior of car damaged and stained
b) Scratches were resprayed - Unacceptable standard and colour match. As a result the car could not economically be repaired as a full respray was now required.
c) Lifetime no claims guarantee useless as they would not reinsure the car.
d)The courtesy car was a tiny ford Ka that was only supplied when car in workshops (Not for the many times I had to take it to be examined.
Always request a main dealer repair.0
