Which you seem happy to commit yourself.

I think 99% of people wouldn't contact their insurance for self inflicted damage to their car, probably including you. But because internet, you make out you're completely perfect in every way. :A

I've never claimed anything like that, but you suggested covering it up and then lying.

If the bus driver didn't appear to notice and it was a minor scrape and you stopped out of sight of the bus to check damage to your car, you may decide not to say anything and if you hear anything about it, plead ignorance to noticing at the time that it had happened.

Whether you're happy to cause an accident and not report it, and whether ignorance would be a suitable defense for failure to stop, I'm not sure.

Lets be honest, this is the most realistic post here.

The bus company wont notice or care even when they do.

You have next to no damage.

Ignore the internet high horses, and just ignore it and plead ignorance in the miniscule chance that somehow anything comes from it.

Might also to be wise to get your eyesight checked, especially if you haven't had an eye-test lately?

Obviously you might be 21, have 20:20 vision and have just misjudged the manouevre through inexperience. On the other hand, the eyesight of older people can change from year to year.

I think this was less about eyesight and more about spacial awareness.

The OP has pulled out to go around a bus and tried to pass very closely (probably due to oncoming traffic) and in doing so the rear of the car was not out far enough to pass the bus.
It's a common mistake, people forget about the back of the car taking a slightly different path when turning.
