looking to send a laptop via courier?

Has anyone done this. I've read an old thread on here suggesting people use parcel monkey but I know some delivery firms can be funny with computers?

I was thinking parcel force 48 as they do track and sign for delivery not sure if DPD do this as it doesn't say on their site?

DPD deliver phones for Vodafone so a laptop should be OK as long as you take out the correct insurance and package it properly.

If you have doubts about standing on your sealed package then make it stronger.

Iv always used parcelforce to deliver laptops.
Never had any problems and are reasonably priced


Couriers can be a bit funny about batteries, so when they ask whats in the box, Say it is a protable computer with a battery that is part of the unit.
That tends to aleviate their concerns

I bought a second hand laptop via a forum earlier this year, came via parcelforce and no problems, think delivery was about £25. The seller packaged it well, which I'm sure helped.
