I've just had an email from Oyster Ownership declaring

Congratulations, you're a winner with the Oyster Advent Calendar Free Holiday Giveaway. Now you can choose your prize. Merry Xmas & Happy New Year!

I did enter the advent, but I'm just a teensy weensy bit suspicious because the email comes from a mailing list (my iPad tells me) and it isn't actually addressed to me. I'm offered quite a choice of short breaks as a prize.

You recently entered our Advent Calendar Holiday Giveaway Prize Draw, to win an all expenses paid, All-Inclusive 7-Night Holiday, for 2 people, at the
5 Star Melia Dunas Beach Resort in Cape Verde and you are still in with a chance of winning that Grand Prize, as that draw will be made later this month.

However, you must have been very well behaved this year because our 'Santa' has selected you as a Daily Prize Winner and you now have the choice of some very exciting prizes indeed, including Half Day Medi-Spa Experiences!

Or, you and your partner can either enjoy a 2-Day, Free Mini-Break at The Hever Hotel, Kent, including Full English Breakfast & Welcome Drinks.
This historic Hotel, adjoining a stunning 27 hole Championship Golf Course, is set in the grounds of Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn.
This prize can be claimed & used now or anytime in the next 120 days.

Alternatively, you can claim a Free 2-Day Stay at a Yorkshire Country Hotel. This prize is for couples & must be taken between 01/03/2017 - 01/07/2017

Maybe you would prefer to wait until next summer and enjoy either a weekend stay or a midweek break at the fantastic Vilnius Grand Resort in Lithuania.

If a hotel break is not for you and you would prefer some pampering & fun, either in Cheltenham or London, early in the new year, you could choose a Half-Day Medi-Spa Experience & Makeover Photoshoot, for you and a friend.

If you and your partner, would like to claim The Hever Hotel Mini-Break, you can do so NOW by clicking the green bar at the bottom of this email

The references to me 'and my partner' raises time share hackles.
Anyone have any experience of this firm? I hope its real, my lucky dust seems to have run out!

Not yet. I will read this thread with interest before deciding what to do.
  • I got one too. Would be great if it is genuine and not a timeshare pitch.

We aim to bring you the best FREE offers we can find, because we all like something free from time to time, but how often does it really happen? Our incredible OFFERS form part of marketing initiatives permitting the provider to offer a showcase of what it is they do best. Whether vacations, Days out or other Products & Services, we find the best for you to enjoy.

In return for something free, the companies offering them hope that you will tell all your friends and family about them through Social Media, email or chat to encourage others to visit & use their products or services.

There is no better form of advertising than ‘word of mouth’ recommendations. In most cases during your visit you will be offered something that you could purchase if you wanted to. Naturally, these companies are not charities, they still have to make a living. But you are never under any obligation.

We only do business with companies who do not practice ‘hard sales tactics’. No one likes to feel under pressure, but if you just take the time to listen to what they have to offer you, it could really be worth it and you could walk away with an absolute bargain, having had the most wonderful experience for free. This is what we call a win/win scenario
