Thankfully charged on go faster last night though
Not bad considering how rubbish the pv was today.
Although we didn't use the leccy oven tonight otherwise we'd probably be importing at full price round about now.
I would like to do the same but no offer of go faster, I have emailed them... 4.5p for a better time slot what is not to like?

Tonight though I've found the downside.
When I wired in my batteries I put a small CU on the en-suite shower line because the batteries would be discharging to cover the shower anyway so the line would never be overloaded.
However after a day of pulling down walls I went for a shower at half eight, halfway through, and of course, covered in soap, shower goes off, because now the shower and the batteries are running at the same time. Doh!
Not a massive issue, I've used 10mm cable, just need to change the 40a breaker to a 50a breaker and should be golden, but one of those things that you think you have covered all angles, and then you get an 8:30 tariff 😂😂

Rewired the house a few years ago, before I considered batteries.
When I considered batteries, I also decided that I'd switch to a hot water tank instead I'd electric showers, but I haven't got there yet.
Because the showers use a heavier gauge of wire, that wire is also good for running batteries, so I kinda tee'd into it.
However tonight the batteries 5kw (20a) and the shower 9kw (36a) were both running together through the 40a breaker, so it tripped after about ten mins of me being In the shower.
The gauge of wire is good for 70a, so i need to fit a larger breaker.West central Scotland

I have this terrible feeling the battery may get lost in the post to you.....
Better make sure you have enough insurance to cover the loss then. Be gutted if you get it and its "Brand New"... but even on this dull Saturday I'm just about covering my usage and battery at 85%... so I did not NEED it.
Jan 2019, but its completely pancaked, like won't even switch on, and the lux just says... NAW! 0% and it's not taking a charge so far (10 mins on lux)
I'm hoping I can bring it back to life, bit I'm definitely going to need to do what EVandPV has done and get an actual connection to the battery. If its toast, it's going back!West central Scotland
