There isn't a grid charging schedule set then by any chance ?
Either way, I would turn grid charging off and see if it happens again tomorrow.

I have this too. I don't discharge to the grid ever (well not intentionally anyway).  About 3am today a had short spike of 2.5kW out of the battery.  It happens intermittently. I have wondered whether it's the monitoring that's 'misreading' as I also sometimes get the charging/draining figures being inconsistent with the change in battery capacity. (And on another note I sometimes get the battery dipping to 5% before recharging from the grid which again I don't understand)

    Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
    Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE
    Solax 6.3kWh battery

A slightly different Lux / Pylontech question here.
Despite either the batteries having some charge and the sun being out yesterday, it appears I still constantly trickle import 30w - 50w or so all through most of the day.

Above is from the smart meter, but I also see this via my other clamps recording import to my emonPi (and shoot up to PVOutput) too. (see below)
That period of blank import between 11am and 4pm above was when the batteries were full (from the PV)

Is there a setting to configure on the Lux?
Are the CT clamps just not that accurate?
Obviously in the grand scheme of things importing 1kwh costs less than 10p, but its more the why i'm interested in.

    Folks,
Try disconnecting everything apart from solar and the battery system, see what happens and come back to us.
If you are still seeing the spike then we need to work out if its actually an intake spike or its just something in the reporting data or interpretation of the display software but see afterwards. I know this sounds very like the switch it on and off again but if you do see an actual import then turn the software on to make a definite import for a certain known time and see if that and the spike still show up or just it or just the spike. Then turn it off and see if that corrects all/any of it.
I know when I installed 2 new pylontechs with my old pylontechs and sofar that for the first day or two it drew some balancing current from the mains but I didnt check after that once I saw it had settled down.
Do one change at a time though so you can track what actually makes the difference (if anything).

I think everyone is seeing this with a newly installed Lux controller, myself included.
Apparently, it's to do with the ct sampling.
Check your firmware version, you'll most likely have an older one and your supplier should be able to arrange for Lux to push the latest version to your unit. You'll find it on the web portal under configuration - inverters.
They did ours within an hour or so of me contacting our supplier.
The version we're on now is BAAA-0E0E which greatly improves the sampling and reduces the import to near zero.

The update also activates battery state of health in the web portal.
