Warm Home Discount Scheme

Can anybody help me please, I received HM letter today and tried to claim my £140 discount being on Pension Credit but government department said my supplier iSuppy Energy was not on list and would not help me. I changed from Eon about one year ago thinking I would save money but like everything these days it was not as it seems.

    No one can help you.

You need to leave ISupply and move to one that supports the scheme, when you move the DWP will automatically instruct your new supplier that you are 'entitled'.

Richie-from-the-Boro. That is not quite correct. The Government will only tell the company who supplied a customer on 10th July. If they do not take part in the scheme then the customer has lost out. She can though go to another supplier and if they are still open apply through them like everyone else.

I just read this on the Gov site. Check the letter and see what it says....
If you qualify for the discount, you’ll get a letter this autumn or winter telling you either:
    • you don’t have to apply - you’ll get the discount automatically
    • to apply by 28 February 2017 - the letter will tell you why and how
You’ll receive your letter by 16 December at the latest.
