Mcafee Live Safe

My new HP laptop appears to have Mcafee Live Safe pre-loaded and has registered me without my knowledge.

I am sure this is trail version but can not see how long for - does anyone know how long?

Can someone please advise me how I can remove all of it - I normally use Kaspersky?

You should just be able to remove it from "Programs and features" in the control panel

Funnily enough I recently removed McAfee from a Cerleron based HP. It was running very slow and barely able to stream video. Removed McAfee, left the default Windows Defender in place, everything fast again.
