What happens at the end of 0% offer?

My M&S card 0% offer finishes on the 5/10/07, I now only have a small amount on it (approx £500), but does anyone know how they calculate the interest on the outstanding balance. I also assume I do not get 56 days interest free on purchases, as I still have an outstanding balance when the 0% finishes.
