NPower Hometeam now Homeserve!

Hi all,

Unfortunately my boiler broke at the weekend and when I tried to call the so called 24h helpline 0800 number given to me by the NPower Hometeam as part of my membership I was told the "office was closed, call back during business hours", so much for being 24hours!

I called them back this morning and arranged an engineer to call, no problems there, however when I questioned the operator about the why the number was closed the day before I was told that the cover was run by Homeserve not NPower any longer and the numbers were different etc. I have looked on the internet and no mention of this is made, nothing was said in my renewal letter etc, I actually left Homeserve to join NPower as they were too expensive, I use NPower for my energy supply and was given an initial discount. Surely they should at least tell me of the transfer and the new numbers!? There is an 24h helpline I could have used but as I didn't know my membership was with them I didn't know I could use it! Very frustrating!
