Parking ticket didn't print

Hi
I recently parked at an NCP car park in Stockport, put my money into the machine and it failed to print the ticket. I received a parking ticket on my windscreen and appealed, giving them my name and address (I hadn't found this forum at this point!). My appeal has been rejected as I wasn't displaying a valid ticket, so I now have the option to pay the fine or appeal to POPLA. Can anyone offer any advice as to what my chances of success will be and what to do please? I have no proof that I paid, but I don't believe that I should be fined when I have paid and the machine was faulty! Many thanks.

Use the templates in the NEWBIES thread post #3. For any POPLA appeal you should be able to use at least three of them.
I'm guessing you said who parked/what happened in your appeal, gave away the driver. So that is a shame because you will not be able to use the slam-dunk winning POPLA appeal point you WOULD have had as registered keeper = the POFA and the fact NCP can't hold a keeper liable!
Never mind, use the templates, that's what they are there for at the top of the board in the NEWBIES thread. Show us the ones you put together, to be sure you haven't missed one.
There's an example of a POPLA appeal including stuff about a faulty machine in Delsbels thread here, shows you how loooong the appeal should be, IMHO, which is deliberate:

You won't be paying NCP even if you lose at POPLA you know. This isn't a real fine to be PAID! But if you make this POPLA appeal a humdinger, really long and detailed using the templates and that example, I predict NCP will throw in the towel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
