TV Fault

I purchased a Panasonic TV from a JD Williams catalogue approximately 15 months ago.
Up u til yesterday it has worked with no problems but has suddenly lost the picture (still has sound etc).

Who should my first point of call be regarding this? I presume I contact the catalogue company as the retailer?

  • Did you get the five year Panasonic warranty?
  • I didn't purchase any extended warranty.
The paperwork that came with the manual just refers to a one year warranty.

Go back to the retailer and see what they say.

The reason I bought a Panasonic was for the free five year warranty.

As an aside, it is usually worth buying televisions from either John Lewis or Richer Sounds.

JL include a five year guarantee with all their televisions and RS include a six year guarantee with 'the vast majority' of their TVs.

Check the hdmi cable is firmly in its socket. I have lost picture but still had sound when the connector has been slightly dislodged.
