Bank says out of time on ppi

Options
Looking for some advice please.
My wife received a letter from Barclays stating she might have some ppi two look into and two send the forum back and wait 8 weeks for a response.
Fast forward 8 week and she gets a reply that there was at least 6-7 refinanced loans that where missold, the 1st 3 loans she received a refund the 4th which is dated after says out of time, loans 5 and 6 received a refund loan 7 says out of time.
What is confusing the out about f time response is stated that not responded two letters sent, now how can this be true as in only one letter received two start the whole claim on all loans,it's the only one the bank sent out.if we where out of time surely the loans we received a refund on would be out of time 1st yet got paid for these.
Any advice would be great

Difficult to read, but I think they're saying they have sent letters in the past relating to these 2 loans, you didn't respond and they are now time-barred. How long ago were these loans?

More letters in the UK are sent than received.

The loans date back as far as 2004 upto 2011,the letter we received had all the 7 loans and account details time taken and so on,this is the only time we even knew about any ppi claim,as we had gone into a branch a year or so ago and asked if my wife had any ppi on loans branch said no,so we where quiet surprised two be asked for permission two look into the accounts.
So we have not received any other letters relating two the matter.
I suppose next step would be ask bank when try sent out the letters, but if they did why would they investigate a claim they say was timed out,why wouldn't all the loans be timed out not just select few inbetween

Each sale is independent of the other. Whilst some banks did start sending out CCLs, most also stopped when the FCA said it was putting an end date on PPI complaints. So, they probably never got round to the others.
