hi all
is there anyway of finding out share price when bought?
I have some paperwork from Equiniti, so will try them tomorrow.
These shares are not electronic.

The transaction paperwork is indeed the obvious place to start, but there's a wealth of information online about historical share prices of listed companies - how far back are you talking about and what was/is the name of the company?0

I don't know the year I purchased them. Many many years ago.
Shares are for Centrica, Lloyds, National Grid. Hopefully Equiniti can help me out.0 -

As above there are sites like Yahoo that give daily prices for the last twenty years or so but if you don't even know the year then I'm not sure if these would help!

Is your enquiry actually 'where do I find definitive records of my past share purchases' rather than 'how do I find the price of a given share on a given date'? If so, then the registrar via whom you bought them is the only place you're going to get answers and even then that's subject to them retaining records for long enough....0 -
Some of the companies have historical prices on their shareholder websites. For example, National Grid has prices back to 2007.

The way to get to this kind of information is a search on something like "(company name) shareholder services" then browse for prices.0 -
A few of us in our household use MSe, and it looks like I responded to the thread while the IPad was still logged in as another user.
I will see what Equiniti say tomorrow. I wanted to know purchase price so I call sell them.0
