Hello
I am looking for the very cheapest flights for my son and husband to go to Melbourne on or around the 23rd October 2007, coming back on 3rd November 2007, son is 11 years old.
Can anybody give me some ideas of prices please and where is best to look.
Thank you
Carol

The fares are very high, half term probably, and that is a long way for such a short stay. Best price I could find was on BA and Cathay Pacific via London and Hong Kong. Price is £838 for Dad and £691 for the son. After that the fares seem to jump over £1000. Check out airlinenetwork.co.uk to see hat availablity there is, there doesn't seem to be many options left with seats on the days you specify0

We've used Travelmood 0800 0111 945 in the past for flights to Australia and each time they've been cheaper than anywhere else, even booking direct.0

We booked with thomascook when we flew to sydney and they were very reasonable much cheaper than other sites we looked on.0

If you can i would maybe look at flying from heathrow as the flights seem to be cheaper. The cheapest flight price was £1402.30 flying with singapore airlines.0

Airline Network is giving £686 and £577 for adult and child respectively with Cathay Pacific, via LHR and HKG.
These are from MAN with MAN-LHR leg on BA.

Thanks for all your replies.
Have now booked through a local travel agent. Total cost was £1610, so quite happy. Flying from Manchester to London on Monday 22nd October early morning, then direct to Melbourne from London, coming back on Saturday 3rd, to land Sunday 4th November.
Once again, thanks for your help.
Best wishes, Carol0
