Found this on the web, for a list of companies that have signed up for Faster Switching, but it was from 2015.
Faster switching

Eleven energy suppliers in total are set up to offer a faster 17-day switch to both new customers wishing to join and existing customers that want to leave. They are:

• SSE;
• British Gas;
• EDF;
• E.ON;
• Npower;
• First Utility;
• Good Energy;
• Utility Warehouse;
• Ecotricity;
• GnERGY;
• Spark.

Are there now any others that have signed up to Faster Switching?

Also, what happens if the company you want to leave is not signed up, but the one you want to go to has?
Does it still take a maximum of 17 days to switch, but takes ages to get the final bill from your old supplier?

Fasting switching is a voluntary code. Under the terms of their licence, suppliers have 35 days to transfer your supply from the day that they receive your application to switch. The losing supplier has 6 weeks to issue a final bill from the the date of the actual transfer.

The Faster Switching depends on who your new supplier is. Tne actual timescale is 14 calender days plus 3 working days so if there are bank holidays in the 3wd it will be longer that 17 days.
The 6 weeks to produce a final bill is an EU directive.

Thanks for that; it said something similar in the article I found.

But, does anyone know if any other companies have signed up to the Faster Switching voluntary code?

Someone mentioned in another thread that the Co-op did Faster Switching, but it seems from what they told them on timescales that they are still doing it in 35 days, rather than 17.
