Replacing electric oven

All,
Our existing oven has stopped completely now. We thought it was an element so replaced that but alas that did not resolve.
So we are looking at replacing.
Question is we live in an 8 year old house, nice new (ish) electrics. Do we have to pay £90 (the Currys cost) for the cooker to be installed and wired in? Looking on t'internet it seems a bit vague.
Just spoken with Currys and they say that a 'qualified installer' will fit the oven and give a certificate. Not sure what their version of 'qualified' is though.
TIA

If you can replace the element then you can wire in a new cooker.
Why did you replace the element without checking first that it was at fault? It could just as easily be the regulator that needs replacing.
A £5 multimeter is a bargain compared to paying a £90 installation charge!0 -
I installed both our built under oven and our induction hob a year or 3 back when we decided to replace the old crappy MFI stuff - and I'm no electrician! Common sense and the installation instructions that come with the appliance!0

No one is likely ever to ask who wired-in the oven, and if they did, you'd not remember.
Provided you're sure the supply is adequate for the appliance, I should just DIY.0
