TV Auto set up

I just purchased a second hand Sharp Aquos LED colour TV. When I go into the menu to set it up I am asked for a 4 digit user code. I tried 4 zeros and a few other random numbers but I am not getting past this stage of the installation. I also get asked for a code when I try manual set up. I went back to the person I got it from but they said that they bought the TV 7 years ago and got it installed by the people they bought it from and they have no idea what the code is.

Can anyone please help?

Hi,

found this on a search, might help,

The default pin number is 1234 - you have to enter it before the auto installation scan for the channels will take place.. this is the default PIN and is the same as the Child Lock

The manual also tells me how to reset the pin:

Press Menu
Scroll along to select "Setup"
Scroll down to Child Lock
Select Change Pin
Enter '3001' to cancel out the current pin which should then reset the pin to factory default of 1234.

"Enter “0000” as the default password
If you forget your password, enter “5351” to override • any existing passwords."
