Young driver with faulty telemetry box

Hi my niece is 21, she passed her test and bought a car last year. She had a box installed to monitor her driving which showed her to be a good, careful driver. At renewal she was able to get a much better deal with Hastings direct, again with a box to monitor her driving. The readings for her braking score are incorrect and as this will affect her renewal premium and may possibly cause cover to be withdrawn we are concerned. Her overall score is 64 out of 100, but the braking score is 0 -suggesting every stop is an emergency stop. We have raised this with Hastings but they just tell her to drive more smoothly. She fitted the box herself (apparently it just clicks in). Any suggestions? Kind regards

She needs to keep on at Hastings. Raise a complaint if you get nowhere, which you can escalate to the fos if they ignore her complaint for 8 weeks or she is unhappy with their reply0

Hastings are cheap for a reason. They use the cheapest technology on the market for their telemetry so no wonder the accuracy is rubbish...All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
