Wow thanks everyone, I was hoping to find the time to come back and reply properly to each of you but alas never seem to find the time. So a massive thank you to all you have given some fantastic ideas and warnings.
Invites have all gone out and accepted- the beauty of Facebook! We have 15 confirmed, and very likely we will have a few siblings too so I imaginecit is actually 20. My other two girls have been banned from having their friends too as I think that is as many as I can cope with and so we are going out for a little get together with each of the girls favourite two friends on Sunday for a pre Birthday get together.
Both my husband and I are December birthdays so I know what you mean about sharing the day, but I think we are committed now so this year it will include ho ho ho. We've brought presents for each of the children for him to give so that's covered.
We've also got the disco bulb - how fabulous are they I didn't know they existed. And we have dedicated a big garden tent with heaters to a disco. And have brought lots of craft bits to do in one of the rooms so have been busy getting the furniture out and making sure all our belongings that may be broken and may upset us if so are removed.
I should have said the parents are all going to be staying, we know them all and are more than happy to entertain them too. We have got a lovely girl coming to organise games and the crafts stuff leaving hubby and I to look after food and drink for small ones and adults. We thought we had better make it fun for the parents as they are giving up a bit of the last weekend before Christmas for us.
It's really turned into a mini wedding to organise, I think next year we will revert back to an organised thing!0
