I started comping a couple of months ago, primarily to try and fill out a new flat purchase with household goodies. The purchase has since fallen through but that's another story. Anyway, I've won a few small prizes such as a book and a hammock but now I've got my first biggie. According to an e-mail I've received, I have won a luxury weekend in Istanbul off The Sunday Times "Where am I?" competition as posted by Snidely here. :j
Istanbul is somewhere I have always wanted to go so many, many thanks to Snidely as well as skintandsad, scribbler101, little-miss-little, Lou Swire, isitenough and all the posters on that thread!
The best part is that I have just got back from a week's holiday in Crete (not comp-won) where it was averaging 30C. On my return, I'm back at my desk, staring out at cold, grey, wet skies. Now I have something to look forward to.
