DFS sofas delivered torn, what to do?

Hey all, i had some dfs sofas delivered 14 days ago, the delivery guys had put them in the room and then showed me that they had to rips in them and said that DFS would repair them and i was happy with that, the driver took pics of the rips and wrote it on the delivery note, i tried to call dfs to tell them on the day but i was on hold forever and had to hang up as i was travelling abroad. I've come back today and i've rung DFS and they say to me that the delivery company has their own insurance and they will get the delivery company to ring me to sort it out. I'm not entirely sure that i should have to be dealing with the delivery company as i have nothing to do with them, i'd think it's up to DFS to sort it out. I bought these sofas over the phone and they were ready in stock so i understand i have 14 days in which to return them if i'm not happy, as today as day 14 and i have a feeling i'm going to play pass the blame what should i do? I spoke to the delivery company and they said that the manager is not in so can't help!

You're right - it's the job of DFS to sort it out. If the delivery company have insurance, it's up to DFS to claim on it, not you.

You have 30 days to reject them as faulty, go down that route!

I would never accept a repair on something that's new, reject them while you can.
