Leave Boiler On, Turn Off Stopcock?

I have a solid fuel coal boiler, usual set up, tank in loft to fill hot water tank etc. Going away for a couple of days, the boiler (coal) will stay lit for that period, just wandering as a precaution to turn off the stopcock.
Will this effect the boiler?

it shouldn't as long as the HW tank remains filled, any reason you are leaving the boiler on? Im not familiar with your set up how is the coal fed to the boiler for it to remain lit for days?0
