Site plan drawing question

We are having a garden cabin built (a glorified shed with some storage in the eves) but because its more than 2.5 meters and its going against our fence we need planning permission.
I am lothed to spend almost £1000 on someone to do the drawings for planning permission for us so I am gong to give it a go myself.
The guidance from our council is that they require:
1) An up to date site location plan is required, preferably to a scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500 for larger sites, showing the application site in relation to the surrounding area. This should show:
c) the application site boundary and all land necessary to carry out the proposed development i.e. land required for access to the site from a public highway, visibility splays, landscaping, car parking and open areas around buildings, outlined in red.
d) a blue line should be drawn around any other land owned by the applicant that is not being developed, close to or adjoining the application site, if applicable.
As the cabin is going in the garden (accessed via the garage which backs on to the garden) do I outline the garden in red and the house in blue?
Thank you
Sabrina

From memory, the plans submitted when my house was extended included a reprint from the current Ordinance Survey map and only the boundary was marked (in red).
The way I read it, if you owned (for example) an adjoining field then this would be marked out in blue - the site map is purely to show where it is in relation to the general area. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
You just outline your whole plot with a red line.
If you own any land nearby that is separate to the plot that the cabin is going on, outline that with a blue line.
You may need to fork out for an approved licensed OS map at the required scale.0 -
You have mentioned Planning Permission but not Buildings Regulations permission/approval. You would be wise to check this out with your local authority - any combustible building within one metre of a boundary is a typical concern.0

OP didn't mention size other than height but if its less than 15sqm and has no sleeping accomodation it should be exempt from BR.
If its bigger and closer than 1m from the boundary then you're right, it will need BR approval (unless its made substantially from non-combustible materials).
