House sale -where to put the money

Hi all
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice please. When I sell my house, I will not be buying another home for at least 6 months as I'm going to live overseas. What is the best thing to do with the money in the meantime please - just a standard high interest account? Or are there other options?
I'm not a top band tax payer just in case that makes any difference.
I'd like to be able to get at the money very quickly if I needed to.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
Thanks a lot.

Just look at the top of the savings best buys tables. Bradford and Bingley are offering 6.40% AER or Sainsburys at 6.25% AER.0
