Taking legal Action on BT
Comments
-
Firstly an update.
Talk Talk compensated approx 225 for the inconvenience caused and to cover bT's new line charges and legal costs, as a goodwill gesture. Decided to accept it, although 125 of it will go to BT for setting up a new physical line.
BT's customer services is appauling. Engineer visit date needs to be changed. I've been on hold for two hours, and no ones answering... The usual "your call is really important to us...yeh right!!!" No cbale in our area, so we're stuck with BT unfortunately.!!!
Welcome: Get an authority letter from your partner, approving yourself to talk. Send it Recorded Delivery to BT and also fax it to them. If they still dont let you talk, take legal action through the Small Claims Court (https://www.mcol.gov.uk). That will get them talking, and if they don't, then the courts will help you get compensated.
Calculate your costs for the calls, and cessation fee that TalkTalk has charged, and claim for that under Breach of Contract. That would be my advice0 -
