URGENT! Redundancy pay in payroll cycles

Hi all.
I'm being made redundant, and am 99% of the way toward signing the settlement. DUE TO SIGN TOMORROW, THE 2ND! However something came up today that I want to question.
At my company the normal staff pay date is the 15th of the month.
My leaving date will be the 9th.
The company is saying that the 9th is after the cutoff for that month's pay cycle and so payment won't go through until the month after, but I know they can put through manual payments.
Is there any legal backing for giving the employer a kick? As it stands I'll be left severely short from effectively working a 1-week month and only getting paid that.
Any relevant existing threads just point me in their direction.

When you say signing a settlement do you mean settlement agreement? In which case your solicitor/legal advisor will be pointing out the clause telling you when you will get paid. There's usually a 28 day payment clause in the agreement.
What about your notice pay and accrued holiday leave? Will that get paid earlier? Again, your legal advisor needs to help you with thisSaving money right, left and centre0 -
Yep, my settlement agreement.
The clause relating to payment of everything listed (i.e. the whole package, pay in lieu of notice, etc) states that payment will be made in the 'next available payroll'. If I leave on the 9th the next actual company payday is the 15th Dec but they're saying the payroll cutoff is before the 9th, so the next available payroll is 15th Jan.
I have a call set with my advisor tomorrow, but I'm just trying to investigate every available opinion.
The main questions being, if I know they can put through manual payments can I force my employer to do so somehow? And does redundancy pay even come under salary, so could be paid outside of payroll?0 -
The company can choose how and when to pay it.
If you sign tomorrow there is no reason for them not to make the 9th cut off other than they don't want to.
What pay period does the 15th cover, not that common to be paid on the 15 for the same calendar month.0
