Thermostat change

Hello all,

I've just completed on my first home.

I have a Ideal Independent C24 combi boiler. There's a room thermostat but it's just temperature. I'd like to swap for a 5+2/7 day timer so I can save having heating on at 6am at the weekend!

I assume this is possible? Do I need to do anything to the boiler, IR just swap the stat?

Many thanks!

As you have a combi boiler, it is very easy to simply replace your basic stat with a seven day programmable stat e.g. here and then leave the boiler programmed to be on 24/7.

You will then be able to program different temps on different days at different times, which should quickly save you much more than the cost of this programmable stat.
