Potential TSB Issue - pending payment gone

Hi All
Basically, last Friday sold house, and paid off high interest credit cards (due to BR in 2012):
Aqua: £2,600
Marbles: £700
Vanquis: £4000
I bank with TSB and all payments showed as pending - all normal, and then usually after 3 working days they show in the statement section.
So yesterday (3rd working day) I check all cards. Aqua and Marbles are paid and done. Vanquis is still in pending. I login to Vanquis, still not updated (although I had a telephone conversation with them last Fri to update address etc.. and they confirmed debit card payment of £4k).
Today I login to Vanquis (4th working day), balance cleared, £0 on card, £3500 avaliable. Tested by booking a hotel, card not blocked.
When I login to TSB current account however, the payment to Vanquis had disappeared from pending, doesn't show in the statement section, and my available funds show accordingly an additional £4k - almost like a ghost transaction.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what course of action to take. Morally - call both parties. Ignorantly - wait. I have screenshots of auth codes etc on Vanquis site.
Any ideas before I get to excited about a glitch in the system lol

If you paid 4k, why only 3.5k available?
I would expect it to correct itself shortly, but if not, I think they can have 6 years to claim it back, and for a certain length of time they can take it back without notifying you (I believe). I'd rather not have that hanging over me personally!0 -
Get excited, get on the road to BR again. It would be foolish to spend more money than you know you really have.0

The most likely explanation is that Vanquis have delayed processing the debit card transaction and as a result the initial authorisation (pending transaction) has dropped off. They will probably debit the amount very soon.0

Are you going to cut up at least two of those cards now? I would.I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.0

The problem when you pay with debit card is that it's the recipient that takes the money. Next time set up a Faster Payment (with TSB) and they will get the money by the next business day (usually sooner)
Also, I would also suggest you ditch two out of the three cards .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Vanquis is very slow to process payments across the board, doesn't matter which method was used.
I have a faster payment to pay off my balance set up, still takes 3-4 working days before it shows on Vanquis. My other CC using FP credits the next working day.0
