I believe the taxman is generally quite interested in this sort of thing especially if the underpayment of holidays (which this appears to be) takes you below minimum wage.0

There is no requirement in a min wage calculation period to include any holidays.0 -
Does your contract state you're required to work bank holidays but will be reimbursed? I've sacrificed my right to bank holidays on a contract on the premise that you can claim the full 8 hours as overtime.Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0

There is no "right" to bank holidays!
Your right, as a full time employee, is to 28 days holiday per year but the employer can totally dictate when you can and cannot take your holidays.
Often people get the 8 bank holidays plus 20 other days but it does not have to be like that. Many businesses need all their staff working on bank holidays.0 -

Your employer is in effect buying holidays back off you which is unlawful (can't see it being enforced though)
You are however allowed to carry over upto 1.6 weeks/8 days as long as both party's agree.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0
