Replacing storage heaters

I need to change my heating from old storage heaters that give heat during the day and are cold by late evening. I want to be able to set a timer for whatever temperature I want at different times of the day/week, so just a minimum during the day and good in the evenings.
Can anybody please advise what types/brands may be a good replacement? I need to stick to electric in the flat I'm in.
Thanks

If you replace NSH's with any other kind of electric heating running on single rate electricity then your heating bills will increase by around 300%, as you will lose the cheap rate E7 hours.
Have you tried altering the damper settings on your existing NSH's to slow the rate of release?
Otherwise, fit new NSH's with greater controllability. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
