Pre approved Virgin credit card

Hi all just a quick question, following Martins advice I completed a pre check for the virgin 30 months 0% interest. It came back and said that yes I'd been pre approved so I then went on to apply only on completion to get the response that they are considering my application? I believed that by doing the pre check first would give me a final decision? What is this likely to mean? Thanks x

I got the same response from my application a few days ago. I was pre-approved, so I completed the application and was told that they needed to do more checks.
I received an email this morning advising that my application had been successful and they told me what my credit limit would be. It then explained when I should expect the card and logon details etc.
This kind of thing is standard for credit card companies. I wouldn't be concerned about it. It's not the first time I've completed an application online, only to have it reviewed first. You should hear within 6-7 days via email.0 -
Your application was refered, the computer system wants a human to check the application nothing to worry about. I had an application referred recently and it was approved a few days later0

My one's dragging on. At 3 weeks now. I had to send ID. I'm asking for a lot though - requested a £10k money transfer.0

They will most likely get a commission so it's in their own interests to encourage you to apply and that's pre-approved. Of course when you get your pre-approved status it's important that you "apply on the same day" (QUOTE). Last time I saw that level of urgency it was on QVC lol.
Edit: I did get the Pre-Approved status and then later an email stating that I have been approved for a "bit of everything" card. Now I have to wait for postal correspondence. I'll most likely cancel it: Depends on how much a "bit" is.0
