Parking Awareness Blackpool - PLEASE HELP

Hi all,
Me and my daughter went for a weekend away in Blackpool in October, today I received a NtK from Parking Awareness to say that I have ignored a PCN (which was NOT given to me or attached to my windscreen) and that I now owe them £100. Can you please help and give me advice on what to do next?
Thanks in advance,
Cathy

Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky and use the appropriate initial appeal template from the sticky. Parking Awareness are IPC operators, so that's the template to use.
This will be a long haul, there's no quick fix, other than to get a landowner cancellation. You don't say what kind of a car park this was - supermarket, retail park, hotel, hospital, general car park; you'll need to do some research (Google/Bing) to try to find who the key people are to whom to complain and try to get a cancellation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This group of scamming lowlifes are well known for this particular scam in Blackpool, you would think they would welcome the custom in this failing resort not frighten people away:

So am I right in thinking that I need to fill in the template provided on the NEWBIES thread about the IPC and send it to PAS?
What will I need to do afterwards?0 -
It's not a 'filling in' exercise, it's a copy and paste.
Sorry, but what you read now might not be to your liking or what you're expecting. But here it is!What will I need to do afterwards?
Your appeal will be rejected (almost every one is). You appeal to show you are following due process and you are not simply ignoring the charge.
You will be offered a second stage appeal to the IAS - but no one here now recommends you appeal to them as they too will reject (see NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3).
Thereafter, unless you can get a landowner cancellation, the PPC has the balance of 6 years to continue to pursue you, either via debt collector letters (powerless, just ignore those - see post #4 of the sticky) or via a small claim in the county court (which must not be ignored) which can be defended with help from the forum.
That's about it.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

yes , then if they dont cancel you would be IGNORING THEM unless you are ent an LBC or an MCOL from Northampton , for 6 years
there is no quick or easy "fix" so its as explained above in the previous reply
these are sc@mmers that prey on the unwary0 -
Okay, thanks for the advice, I'll send the letter to PAS tomorrow and see what reply, if any, that I get.0

As has been said - please do not call them.
PAS's signs are routinely forbidding and they have lost cases (that were run to the small claims court with MIL Collections) as a consequence. This means that although they rely on contract law to issue their PCN's the signs legally create a group of trespassers (those who fail to pay, park out of a space or overstay).
The only case that they may bring against the driver is one of trespass - not a breach of contract - assuming that they actually own the land or have been ceded sufficient legal rights to act as the owner. This in turn limits how much they can claim as in trespass cases damages are usually of only a nominal value. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
Update: we have seen images of the car and it is on the very edge of the white line... however, we were still never issued a PCN, and the photos do not show one attached to the car... fair enough I'll probably have to pay the inital fine but can I still appeal for not being issued a PCN in the first place and having to pay £100 instead of £60???0
