Oh No to Churchill Fees
poundsign
Does anyone else feel that the fee Churchill charges for cancelling a policy £52.56 to be exact a bit of a rip off?
What exactly are you paying for?
I have two other policies and there is no exception for customer loyalty (or staff apparently).
I am totally stunned by this charge, and after they calculated what I owed them up to the date of cancellation (£115.70) and collected this from my account they now claim I owe another 8p.!!

Sounds fairly reasonable.0

Sounds reasonable. It will be stipulated in your terms and conditions what the fee's are for cancelling.0

Your paying for them to make changes to youre policy mid term.
Buy a 12 month policy and make no changes then you dont need to pay any additional charges.
Use an insurer with lower charges? Although the premium maybe substantially more?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Checking the T+C before you anyone money for services is a good idea"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

That seems like quite an exact amount. Seems like there's more to it.
As others have said, check the T&C's before going with an insurer and use one with lower fees so you don't come across this again.
And no, customer loyalty doesn't come into it when you're cancelling a policy, even if you do still have others. Chances are, any loyalty bonus was given to you at the start.0 -
