TUPE and Holidays

Options
I am working for a company that is due to TUPE me and 80 other staff over on 1st March 17. We will have 4 days holiday accrued with this existing company for Jan and Feb. The company are saying that this must be taken and cannot be taken forward to the new company and we cannot be paid if we don't take it. Is this correct? I was hoping to save my holiday for later or a least be paid for it. I hope someone can help and I can also then pass the info to my colleagues. We have asked our Union rep but as yet have had no answer.

Employers can tell you when to take holidays, so if they are saying take 4 days before 1st March, then that is what you should do
