    I've been Money Tipped!
A bit of a whirl in the tumble dryer on lowest possible heat setting and perhaps with the addition of one of those scented fabric conditioner sheets might help.

Bicarb should just shake off, or at the worst it would need hoovering but nothing that would permanently alter them other than removing the smell! You could also try not actually putting the bicarb in direct contact with the fabric, just put them in the same airtight container. You might need to renew the bicarb a few times.

    I will try it tomorrow.

I use bicarb to clean the freezer and oven, so I'm reasonably hopeful.

Try hanging them on the clothes line and batting them with something, watch all the dust mites etc fly out.

    That will help!

Just make sure that when you've used bicarb, you don't shake it over the lawn. I did that with a rug and thought I was oh-so-clever hanging it on the line and bashing it out but a week later there was a dead stripe of grass where the bicarb killed it!

Well the smell is much better today after the airing, so I think I'm ok. I will try the bicarb this weekend and hopefully it will get the last of it out.

Thanks for the help and especially the heads up about my grass. Thanks rach.
