Jesus, still this law firm are a nightmare apparently they're office is moving, which is why it's taking so long, the new bank can't comment on what the law firm are doing, which is true, and i wouldn't think they would anyways..

Being on hold for 40 minutes + finding out what is going on with my mortgage, is a nightmare, for a two second conversation saying, oh it's progressing...

Solicitors called today and we owed Kensington a further £306.25... That was annoying... That was rolled up interest but it's better than £3006 that's for sure.

Looks like it's finally moving.

I was wondering why KMC took such a huge amount of redemption (we had to pay £306.25) extra to KMC to finish the mortgage and exit, I couldn't work it out as we had in our head that we'd have at least £400-500 back because we put £1000 extra on our mortgage to cover everything, turns out KMC upon redemption add the monthly payment in with it and refund you after 14 days as apparently our new bank can still chargeback funds? So instead of us being out of pocket or whatever, they take a month of payment to cover us.

So all in all, we get £775.10 in case our bank charges back funds? That makes no sense as the new bank has the title deed in there name..

It's official KMC has closed our mortgage account! Happy days, next mortgage payment is the 3rd of January for £966, I'm going to pay the interest part off and pay the £577 in January., they have said I can do this!
