Unknown credit into account

So, this morning I am moving funds between accounts to be eligible for various interest payments and I noticed a random credit of £160.20 from "rohit shukla, dyson" in my tesco current account. Literally have no idea what this is for and have not given anyone this my bank details for this account apart from one direct debit.
I assume it's all part of the Tesco bank data breach scam and will notify them immediately.
Anyone else had similar in the past? What did you do? What happened?

I called my bank at the weekend and the staff working didn't have access to the system that would tell them where the payment had come from. They said to call back on Monday, but by then I had remembered where the payment was from, and it was mine!
But on reflection, they weren't going to be able to tell me anything useful due to Data Protection, but they should have been able to return the payment, and protect it until such time as it could be returned.
You may get a letter from your bank about it when the person who sent it realises it has not arrived in the correct account.

While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
Against my better nature I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and inform the bank, as there is an outside chance it is genuine. Their payments team are going to get onto it and attempt to return to whoever paid it. I hope they can otherwise I'm sure the bank will just keep hold of it.0

At one time it was a case of sender beware and if they sent money to the wrong account it was their own fault. In general banks and courts of law wouldn't have anything to do with it so the holder of the receiving account just spent the money.
These days though it's often written in the bank T&Cs that if the account holder doesn't recognise a credit the bank must be informed immediately. But good luck with that: In my own personal experience bank staff don't know what to do and they just place a note on the account.

Makes sense. Well, I've informed the bank and their payments department is looking into it. As far as I am concerned, my work is done and if it disappears then fine, if it doesn't then I shall consider it an early xmas present.0 -
Your better nature is to keep the money even though you know it isn't yours? If you had sent money to someone by mistake, would you expect them to keep it?
Sorry, I wasn't clear, when I said by my better nature I meant I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was actually a human error rather than someone looking to scam my account (yes I know it was incoming money but automatically assumed that this was somehow part of the scammers' plan).
"Better nature" was the wrong turn of phrase.0
