Experian free Creditmatcher

I am applying for a mortgage imminently and my broker wants some confirmation of my credit SCORE.
I previously paid and provided the statutory credit report (£2) and he said he also needed the Experian credit score.
I previously had the free trial and then cancelled it a few years ago, so it won't allow me to have another free trial.
I don't want to pay £14.99 literally just to get a 3 digit number to prove to the broker something I already know (I have no outstanding balances/loans etc).
So my question is, is the figure that is provided on the 'free' log in only service which shows your score actually accurate? Currently it is showing my score as 997/999 which although I would like to believe is true, sounds a bit too good to be true?!
Rather than make a total fool of myself to my mortgage broker, has anyone used the score provided on the Experian Creditmatcher page as their actual score or is there a better way to get something more concrete without paying £14.99 literally for the 3 digit number?!

You do realise your score is of no use to anyone, no 1 else apart you can see the score.
If you sign up for the other 2 agencies you will see your score varies.0 -
I do realise the score is some dreamy number, however my broker is insistent on some sort of look at it...
My only question is can I rely on this figure, from the free service provided?
I do not want to provide it if I later find out it is just a gimmick for the free service0 -

Rely in the figure for what ?
Maybe he wants to compare your score to his.
Banks go on the history of applicants, no 1 can change that.
Its not something you should have to provide.0 -

Who is the broker?
They sound dodgy, or at least incompetent.0 -

"Accurate" is a moot point.
I'm 99.9% sure it's the same score paid customers see. :rotfl:
Otherwise, Experian would be offering two scores: one paid, one free; which would be 200% ridiculous.
The score is, at best, indicative. I'm surprised your mortgage broker is interested in it.0 -
I was surprised to be asked for my SCORE from a mortgage broker last week.
I just put it down to him wanting an INDICATION of how Experian view my credit history and account conduct- which to be fair it is.
When he then combines it with the other information I have provided him with ie salary, any outstanding debts etc, he can then formulate his own opinion as to the state of my over all credit worthiness and which lenders to match me to.0 -
Does Creditmatcher offer the same 'score' as MSECredit Club as same CRA?
Went to sign up for it, but stopped wen it asked for my credit card.0 -
Hi Richy4, the Experian Credit Score that you get with the Credit Matcher service will be the same as the score with CreditExpert provided that you have supplied the same name and address details in your application.
