"However, due to 'administrative oversight' Morrisons has confirmed planning consent 'had not been sought'. "

"Due to an administrative oversight planning consent had not been sought for the signage."

"We are now working with Parking Eye to gain the correct permissions and would ask customers to stick to the three-hour parking limit to allow other customers to find spaces."

Morrisons must think their customers are idiots ?
"administrative oversight" Wake up Morrisons, you know the game, stop lying to your customers ?

Guess the Warrington Guardian has now left a very bad taste for those who spend money in Warrington and in particular Morrisons

Would the Warrington council accept non payment of rates because of an admin oversight ? Of course not, they would send the bailiffs in

Utter cobblers we know that PE flout the planning regulations to save costs and hope they get away with it.

And how many times have I read:

"We installed the new parking management system to help customers who told us they were finding it difficult to find a space at busy times".

Standard BS from them and the likes of Tesco to justify their scummy parking scams!

Anyone reading this thread should be aware that you can ALWAYS get Morrisons Head Office to cancel a PE PCN, with just one complaint email to:

    donotreply@morrisonsplc.co.uk

They will cancel even without a receipt if a M's customer stamps their feet by email.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
