REALLY unfair parking charge!

Today I drove into Maidenhead, and after specifically asking a Council parking warden in the street whether I could park where we were using my Blue Badge, he directed me to a little street just around the corner, and told me to park there.
A little while later, after doing some shopping, I came back to my car and found a PCN issued by Windsor & Maidenhead for £35; £70 if unpaid etc., etc.
So, in spite of clearly displaying my Blue Badge and actually asking the warden where I could park and following his instructions, some other jobs worth sticks a ticket on my car.
The printout says Code 2, Parked or unloading in a restricted street where waiting and loading/unloading restrictions are in force. There is a sign that says no loading or unloading but I was TOLD to park there!
What do you think are my chances of appealing against this ticket?

Probably, but this isn't the place to ask I'm afraid. This forum is for dealing with "parking tickets" issued by private firms rather than actual Council-issued ones (the speech marks are important!)
You'll be better off trying PePiPoo, where they have great success in appealing these. You'll need an email address (not a hotmail one) to register, and they will help you there.
Good luck!0 -

What is the location given on the PCN?
High Town Road, Maidenhead.
This is where I had parked, just about where the black car is parked on the right of the picture. (Coincidentally, showing a Blue Badge!).

No, sorry it dosn't work.
But I have looked on Street View and can see quite a few 'Resident only' bays but no loading bays?PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -
From the code, he wasn't in a bay but sounds like he was on a double yellow with kerb blips. The blue badge rules tell you that you can park on double yellows but NEVER ones with a loading restriction (kerb blips) in operation. I would have thought drivers would know never to park at kerb blips (unless they were not clear) except if the loading ban was out of hours. Anyway, i'm not saying it can't be appealed, on the contrary, I reckon it's winnable but will need resolve from you to continue through the stages and forget the discount.
Anyway, as the CEO told you to park there that can be the basis of an informal challenge. The Council will reject it, then there are two more stages and no risk of the PCN going up (although the discount bribe will no longer be offered). I would appeal this all the way with pepipoo posters' help, showing the Blue badge and telling the honest story.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The address is confusing because where I parked is a little stretch of that road which then goes under Frascati Way in Maidenhead to the High Town Road proper.
This is my post on Pepipoo and the link I provided there does work, although when copied to here it doesn't.

You do need to show them both sides of the PCN (the back as well, all small print).
No need to print out a scan, just cover your VRN and PCN number on the original, with a piece of paper, then scan. AND THE BACK!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you very much - will do that.0 -

Ok, I see it now.
Where the black car is parked is restricted (blips on the paved edge) during the times stated on the sign probably due to the fact it's directly opposite a marked loading bay. There is a short area where you would of been ok to park right in front of the marked bay on the opposite side to where the car is parked. Perhaps that's where the CEO meant?
In any event (as CM says) you should still appeal stating you miss-understood the direction given by the CEO. There is also the possibility of a flaw with the PCN itself which (as you have posted it to Pepipoo) will be looked at.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only.
