I have just ended a First Direct Regular Saver and got £116.73 interest. I had to save £300 a month for 12 months to get that. It had 6% interest.
One year ago I tried that idea Martin Lewis has called Drip Feeding. I put my last year Regular Saver into a TSB Classic Plus Account which paid 5% interest. I paid from that into a TSB Monthly Saver. That also had 5% interest. Amazingy my total was £145.71 Interest. I got £74.44 for the first one and £71.27 for the second one.
Annoyingly First Direct Regular Saver is now 5% interest. Also TSB will reduce the interest rate from 5% to 3% in January 2017. Their Monthly Saver now has 2% interest.
I am trying to save to pay off my mortgage.
