Earlier this year i had some great advice off of this site which pointed me in the right direction of managing to getting a defaulted account back dated to when i had gone in to a DMP (This had been going on for 8 years and other accounts with same bank had already dropped off) They agreed and in January of this year that they should have defaulted all accounts at the same time, so in Feb my credit score was back to normal again and i could start building a fresh. Now I've managed to save up for a mortgage i went to check my credit file to make sure 100% I'm ok and the Defaulted account has come back on to my file 8 months after being removed ?
HAs anyone else experienced this and what did they do ?
please help !
Thanks
Chris

Depends on the time since the default date: If it's been 6 years then it should be removed from the credit history and not come back. If it hasn't been 6 years it can come back: A default dropping off or otherwise being removed from the credit history doesn't remove the debt which still exists.
Note the default date cannot usually be changed.0 -
ok thanks for the replies, luckily I've managed to keep all emails I've sent and received from them and had found a Ref number on the one from January, so after giving them this they have agreed that it will be put back to the date as agreed so will be wiped back off of my report.
they couldn't even give a reason why just agreed with me that it shouldn't have gone back on as was from 2009 !!
Any hows I'm now much more relaxed !0
