Argos - totally shoddy service. Avoid!

I've already posted to their facebook page (which is full of similar stories to this), but figured I would share here as well, in the hopes that no one else ends up out of pocket and/or goods in the run up to Christmas.
I ordered a king size bed and mattress from Argos on the 5th November. After 3 reschedules of the delivery, one of those days in which I was told I would be receiving the order, took a day off work, then didn’t actually get told I wouldn’t be receiving my order afterall – I ultimately received most of the bed I paid for. And a part for the double version of the bed. I’m two complaint emails in, 4 phone calls in, and still nothing is being done to rectify this situation. Hence I am now at the stage of blasting this over the internet.
I was told on sunday that I could only get a replacement part by accepting delivery of an entire bed - which I told on Sunday was out of stock and I couldn't get it for two weeks. This prompted me to ask for collection of the most of bed taht was actually delivered, and for a refund. I was told the collections team would be in touch with me within 2 days on Sunday - this has not happened, prompting this message. To add insult to injury, I checked out the bed I ordered on their website - it is still listed as in stock, with delivery available within 5 days if I order now!
I am still waiting for information on when the useless pieces of wood in my living room will be collected. I am still waiting for a refund. I am also still waiting for the promised refund of delivery charges and loss of earnings.
I've started documenting the whole farce on my blog, and I'm gearing up to make a phone call to Trading Standards (since I never would have placed this order in the first place without the 'order now to get your order within 5 days' line, and it is still there).
TL: DR - any one who reads this – don’t order from Argos. Save yourself from the sheer ineptitude. There are many other places you can order from that will be cheaper both on your wallet, your time and your blood pressure. The only functional part of this entire experience for me is the mattress.

Have you contacted the boss of Argos ?0

I'll give that a go - though going by the state of their facebook page, there are many others in a similar situation to my own. If he's not aware at this point, I'll be amazed. This is not an automated signature - I type this after every post.0

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam you poor thing. So argos is still advertising a five day delivery for the same bed, yet delivers part of the bed to you, that crazy!!Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

Oh, they told me on Sunday that it's out of stock, so I'd have to wait 2 weeks. And they'd have to deliver an entire bed to me, as delivering just the relevant box and having me take the part out can't be done in their system, apparently. That, and the fact they failed to phone me back to let me know this in the first place, is why I told them to come and collect it and refund me.
Either their customer services is lying, or their website is. At this point, I just want the peices of wood out of my house and my £300 back. Which they apparently won't give back until they have the wood back in their warehouse. This is not an automated signature - I type this after every post.0 -
Argos have fallen from their previous Harrods-like standards...I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0
