car panel repair/emergency patch up?

HI, I have a significant 'gash' in my car, twisted bare metal near petrol cap, underneath rear light/drivers side, third time in 18 months someone has bashed into me while the car was parked.While i decide what to do in terms of repair, i am concerned about corrosion, rust, etc, any tips for cheap emergency patch up.

Use tinypic.

If there are sharp edges it shouldn't be driven unless you want to face prosecution.

You can knock any sharp edges in and use a zinc primer to slow any rust. Won't look nice but also you could cover with duct tape to prevent water ingress.

Unless you can find a new parking place go for a cheap fix to make it legal cause it's bound to be hit again.
