UK CPS Ltd Advice Please

Hi all

I've read over the Newbie thread and will go over the circumstances of my PCN today too.

I work for the NHS and one of our sites is where I got my PCN today, its not my home base and go over rarely. I got an image (coloured in photo from google maps) of where is OK to park in the car park (obviously not correct now) and a "visitor permit" (with UK CPS at the top) so today I parked in an area which according to the image I got is OK and put the permit on my dash. (If an image would be helpful I can add to thread)

I check the car next to me on passing by and the one I had looked the same as that one, thought nothing more and went into work. I returned to find a notice stuck to my windscreen, which is very annoying as it has badly affected the screen (its sticky) and its -1c outside so it was quite iffy coming home with windscreen wipers etc.

On the PCN it has the box for "Without a valid permit/ticket or authority" ticked and in pencil "wrong carpark" above it. I looked at the car next to me in more detail, and its permit has one sentence different to mine, mine mentions a different building on site other than that they are identical. I do not know which buildings are which as its not my main site, also UKCPS signage for that car park I notice faces away from you as you park, you cannot read it or see it until you come back into the car park!
As I mentioned the newbie thread has UKCPS Ltd as the following advice:-

October - December 2016: UKCPS are banned from DVLA data! DO NOT APPEAL.

I take it my recommended course is to see if I get an registered keeper letter?
I am also going to investigate who the land owner is for the site as the NHS lease it I believe. I'm disappointed I got this as literally 4 spaces over I would be fine apparently. Madness.

Thanks for any tips or advice.

sit back they CANNOT LEGALLY get the reg keeper of the car , they are banned as of today and CANNOT backdate requests , should the DVLA give them access again

  • Thanks for the link - I've found the owner I think.

Its gva.co.uk/Property/9044/ from what I have seen with lease etc - the only question is should I contact them immediately or wait to see if I get contacted first. I'm concerned in case they give UK CPS my details or if writing them an e-mail and giving them the PCN number to cancel would be enough to get it sorted. Lots of other people have been issued at this site from my understanding and I'm sure some of those must have e-mailed these guys, I've got no idea on success rates.

You should spread the word NOT to appeal a windscreen PCN from UKCPS but wait and see if they can yet get DVLA data. When a PPC is banned by the DVLA, handing them your name & address on a plate is the very last thing to do.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
