There's nothing to stop you appealing to the IAS (if you're still within the 21 day appeal window), but the outcome is pretty predictable. The concern might be that with an IAS 'win' in their hands the PPC might be more encouraged to pursue this to the county court.
However, in the interest of balance, there is one regular contributor (The Deep) who argues that an IAS dismissal of the appeal is likely to be so perverse and contrary to natural justice, there is no way the PPC would dare put it in front of a judge. There's no substantive evidence one way or the other to confirm that one strategy is better than the other. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I'd be prepared to take legal advice on this point if necessary but surely simple punters like me can overturn an appeal just by pointing out "the bleeding obvious" or am i just being naive?
However, your argument makes sense in a court defence where you would get a fair hearing. A claim is highly unlikely with PPS. We see threads all the time - just put PPS into the 'search this board' box and you will have lots to read!
Here's yesterdays' poster with a similar issue:

Why not compare notes with him as you both ignore the debt collector drivel we've all ignored for a decade. Do not pay. Do not try IAS because it puts you on the back foot and gives a parking firm ammo to beat you about with, in the later threatograms. YOU WILL LOSE AT IAS.
You did right to appeal to take it away from the company/lease firm, so you can now see all the silly letters yourself and no daft person will be paying it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Once again, thank you so much for your replies.
CM - just to clarify from your last post, would you advise that I just sit tight and ignore everything now or would it be beneficial to send a reply to my appeal "rejection" letter explaining that I will not be using IAS but will be happy forPPS to take me to court if they see fit?0 -
In all cases of parking charges what is written on the signs is crucial. Do they require that a ticket is bought within 10 minutes of arrival? You have not overstayed as you paid for the time you stayed so if they don't there is no breach of terms & thus no 'fine' due.0

Depends how argumentative you're feeling.
But generally - for most people - the advice is IGNORE.0 -
In the interests of balance it should be pointed out that The Deep is a keyboard warrior who pontificates endlessly but has never aided an OP with a single appeal or court case unlike other esteemed contributors like Coupon-Mad who argue that appealing to IAS is unwise.

I miss DP and was sad to see a PPR next to his name. Hope it's temporary, he's a character. The comment the other day about his tricorn, his sword and his 'black patent jemimas' had me spitting my tea out with laughter!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
