Would a GRP front door canopy be noisy?

Am looking to replace our old, rotten wood front door canopy/arch and seen a lot of GRP replica types (not the clear plastic cheap types), and some look really nice
Question is would they be really noisy when it rains? Random I know, but as a child we had an old lean-to on the back of the house with plastic sheet roof and it was so noisy whenever it rained hard

I think it would be down to density and impact angle. You had a probably relatively thin roof at 90 degrees to the rain. The door would surely be thicker, and the angle more acute .0

Sorry Grenage I mean the canopy over the door, this kind of thing:

Ah my bad! Well I'd bit be too concerned, as there are many such roofs around. Hopefully someone with such will be on to alay your fears.

Never noticed mine.0

Every house in my road was built with one of those. I've never noticed noise. It's just something bolted to the outside wall of the house, so any noise would have to pass through a double-skin external wall to get into the house.0

I've always liked the sound of rain on a roof. Especially if I was in the dry, under it.0
