Car insurance legal cover add on???

After a lengthy phone call with AXA can someone enlighten me as to what I actually get for paying extra for legal cover, as I have just been told to get a solicitor, they don't do anything legal as they aren't solicitors!!!

No, apparently you pay legal cover to enable axa to recover your excess from the other drivers insurance.0

You sure about that? Legal cover with my policy meant solicitor costs were covered0

"legal cover" is a misnomer.
It is correctly "uninsured loss recovery", and not to provide you a legal team to defend claims against you/disputes with garages/car dealers etc
(If your uninsured loss recovery requires a solicitor then that is covered - subject to you having a good chance of winning)0
