Small holding insurance

I live on a now redundant farm where the land was all sold off leaving the farm bungalow sitting on a plot with outbuildings and a barn / large garage. None of it used for farming now.


I am considering rental of the outbuildings for storage to boost income. This means I need to have adequate cover but my current insurer is not interested at all.


I have trawled through the internet and various options popped up and costs varied greatly.


Can anyone recommend a broker of company that provides such cover. fed up with filling apllications in only to be told "No" or its so expensive it means it is not worth considering.

NFU Mutual would be an obvious contender, but your best bet is to find a local broker, preferably one with experience in the farm insurance market, and get them to do the legwork.

Try OC Commercial we sorted out some insurance for a plot of land we used for grazing, may be worth a try
